Upper Eastside Events in November 2026
November is when Miami’s weather finally cooperates and the event calendar fills up. Here’s what’s happening in and around the Upper Eastside this month, from the Saturday market at Legion Park to a Thanksgiving-weekend cruise that leaves from the 79th Street Causeway. Dates come from organizers and official listings, but plans change, so check details before you go.
Every Saturday: the farmers market at Legion Park
The neighborhood’s standing weekend plan is the Urban Oasis Project’s year-round farmers market at Legion Park, 6601 Biscayne Blvd, in the MiMo District. Expect local produce, baked goods and prepared food from regional growers and vendors. Market parking is in the main lot on the southeast side of the park, toward the bay.
It runs on Saturday mornings into early afternoon, so check hours before you go. Our MiMo District walking guide starts a few blocks north, which makes the market a good first stop before a morning walk down Biscayne.
Nov. 1–3: last days of early voting and Election Day
Miami-Dade’s 28 early-voting sites stay open through Sunday, Nov. 1, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 3, with polls open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. On Election Day you vote at your assigned precinct, not at any early-voting site, and some early-voting locations have moved this year, so confirm your polling place with the Miami-Dade Elections Department before you head out.
Nov. 7: samba night at the Miami Beach Bandshell
Cross the 79th Street Causeway and you’re a short drive from the Miami Beach Bandshell at 7275 Collins Ave in North Beach. On Saturday, Nov. 7, the seven-piece band Soul Samba plays a Rio-style roda de samba, with musicians seated around a central table and the audience dancing around them. DJ Marcello Bentine opens the night. Doors are at 7 p.m. and the show starts at 8 p.m. According to the official Miami & the Beaches listing, standing tickets are inexpensive and Miami Beach residents with valid ID get in free.
Nov. 13 and 28: sunset cruises with Pelican Harbor Seabird Station
Pelican Harbor Seabird Station, the nonprofit wildlife hospital on the 79th Street Causeway, runs bay cruises that raise money for its rescue work. Its calendar lists a sunset cruise on Friday, Nov. 13, and a Thanksgiving Weekend Tour & Cruise on Saturday, Nov. 28.
The Nov. 28 outing starts with a behind-the-scenes tour of the Seabird Station from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m., followed by a cruise from Pelican Harbor Marina until 6:30 p.m. Binoculars are provided, and guests can bring a small snack or drink packed securely in a bag. Details and tickets are on Pelican Harbor’s event page; arrive early.
Nov. 15–22: Miami Book Fair (with a Pelican Harbor visit for kids)
The 43rd Miami Book Fair runs Nov. 15–22 at Miami Dade College’s Wolfson Campus downtown, a straight shot south on Biscayne Boulevard. The “Evenings With” author series runs Nov. 15–20, and the Street Fair takes over the campus Nov. 20–22. WLRN reports that this year’s lineup of nearly 500 authors includes Colson Whitehead, Margaret Atwood and Bonnie Garmus, with programming in English, Spanish and Haitian Creole.
Families from the neighborhood should note Saturday, Nov. 21: from 1 to 2 p.m., Pelican Harbor Seabird Station presents a free wildlife rescue talk and animal encounter in the fair’s Children’s Alley Learn! Canopy.
Nov. 19: Give Miami Day
The Miami Foundation’s Give Miami Day is Thursday, Nov. 19, with early giving opening Nov. 14, the same day as the Give Miami 5K. Donations are made through GiveMiamiDay.org, where you can search participating nonprofits by cause. The minimum gift is $25. It’s an easy way to support the arts groups, environmental organizations and community nonprofits that make the Upper Eastside and its neighbors what they are.
Nov. 20: Sounds of Little Haiti
Sounds of Little Haiti, the Little Haiti Cultural Complex’s monthly celebration of Haitian music, is held on the third Friday of the month. In November that falls on Friday, Nov. 20. The complex is at 212 NE 59th Terrace, a short drive south of NE 79th Street. Recent listings show a modest ticket price, so confirm the lineup and admission before you go.

Thanksgiving and looking ahead to Art Week
Thanksgiving is Thursday, Nov. 26. If you’re hosting, the Saturday market at Legion Park on Nov. 21 is the last one before the holiday.
Art Basel Miami Beach runs Dec. 4–6 at the Miami Beach Convention Center, with an opening on Dec. 2, and satellite events across the city fill the week around it. One date change to note: the unKommon Eats food festival at Little River Studios, which some calendars still list in November, has been rescheduled to Jan. 9, 2027.
